Hon. (Past.) Precious O. Osaroekee is a distinguished public servant, administrator, and Christian leader whose life reflects a rare blend of governance, discipline, and faith. As the first Executive Chairman of Eleme Local Government Area, he occupies a notable place in the political and administrative history of Eleme. His journey from humble beginnings in Alode to positions of leadership in public service and ministry underscores a lifelong commitment to community development, integrity, and service to humanity. Birth and Early Life

Hon. (Past.) Precious Osaroekee was born on 21st November 1959 at Edeenwi in Alode, Eleme, Rivers State. He hails from a background shaped by discipline, community values, and a strong sense of service, which would later define his public, professional, and Christian life.

Education

He began his formal education at State Primary School, Alesa, Eleme, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1973. He proceeded to Government Comprehensive High School, Port Harcourt, and completed his secondary education in 1979 with the West African School Certificate.

Driven by a passion for justice and public order, he furthered his studies in the United States, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Bishop College, Dallas, in 1986.

Career and Public Service

Hon. Osaroekee commenced his working career as an Accounts Clerk with Eleme Urban Council between 1980 and 1981. He later served as a Ledger Clerk with Peger Paints from 1981 to 1982, gaining valuable experience in administration and finance.

In 1984, he worked as a Safety Officer with Plaza America, where he further developed managerial and organizational skills.


His commitment to grassroots governance and development culminated in his election as Executive Chairman of Tai–Eleme Local Government Area (TELGA) in 1996. Following the creation of Eleme Local Government Area, he became the first Executive Chairman of Eleme Local Government Area (ELELGA), serving from 1996 to 1997. His tenure marked a foundational period in the administrative and political structuring of the new local government.

Awards and Recognition

In recognition of his leadership and service, Hon. Precious Osaroekee received the Leadership Merit Award from C.C.C International.

A devoted Christian, Hon. Osaroekee is an Evangelist of the Gospel and a respected church leader. His life reflects a deep commitment to faith, service to God, and the moral upliftment of society through preaching and Christian leadership.
