Chief Dr. Obarijima Osaronu is a distinguished Eleme prince, accomplished entrepreneur, and respected community leader whose life embodies the virtues of royal heritage, integrity, and industry. A man of vision and faith, he has made remarkable contributions to the maritime and logistics sector while remaining deeply committed to the social, economic, and spiritual advancement of his people.
Birth and Family Background
Born on June 24, 1966, in Calabar, Cross River State, Chief Obarijima Osaronu hails from the royal family of Onne in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.
He is the son of the late His Royal Highness, Chief (Dr.) J. D. Osaronu, the revered Paramount Ruler of Onne, and Chief (Mrs.) Dorothy O. Osaronu.
Growing up under the guidance of a disciplined and visionary traditional ruler, young Prince Osaronu imbibed early in life the values of humility, leadership, and service: principles that have defined his character and shaped his life’s journey.
Education
Chief Osaronu began his academic pursuit at State Primary School, Onne, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1978. He proceeded to Government Secondary School, Onne, and later to Akpor Grammar School, Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, earning his West African School Certificate (WASC) in 1983.
Driven by a passion for learning and personal growth, he gained admission to the University of Ibadan, where he graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in English.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to community development, leadership, and enterprise, Chief Osaronu was later conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree.
Professional Career
Following the completion of his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in 1992, Chief Osaronu began his professional career as Assistant Personnel Manager with Pipeline Nigeria Limited (D.P.N.L.), Onne, serving from 1993 to 1995.
He later joined Marine Gulf Shipping Agency Ltd, Port Harcourt, as Agency Manager between 1995 and 1997, before moving to Intels Services Ltd, Federal Ocean Terminal, Onne. At Intels, he served as Operations Supervisor and subsequently became the company’s Pioneer Community Relations Officer.
In these positions, Chief Osaronu distinguished himself through discipline, innovation, and a strong commitment to fostering corporate-community harmony: qualities that laid the foundation for his success in business leadership.
Business Career
Today, Chief (Hon.) Dr. Obarijima Osaronu stands as a successful entrepreneur and a leading figure in Nigeria’s maritime and logistics industry. He is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of JIMACO Nigeria Limited, and the Chief Executive Officer of Frigate Global Services Limited, both of which are reputable firms engaged in marine logistics, human resource supply and management, public affairs, and community relations.
Through these enterprises, Chief Osaronu has forged enduring partnerships with several multinational operators within the Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone, including Maersk Line International Ltd and WACT Nigeria Ltd, providing consultancy services that promote operational efficiency and sustainable community engagement.
Awards and Honours
Chief Osaronu’s unwavering dedication to community development, education, and faith-based service has earned him numerous awards and traditional titles.
In August 2005, he was conferred with the title Omenma I of Aggah-Egbema (ONELGA) by the Traditional Ruler of Aggah-Egbema-in-Council. Later that same year, on November 18, 2005, he was honoured by the Paramount Ruler of Onne and Chiefs-in-Council as Emere Nyimempio I of Onne, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the progress and unity of his community.
Other notable honours include:

- Distinguished Church Financier Award by Christ Victory Church of Nigeria, Eeken, Babbe District, Khana LGA

Religious Life
A devout Christian, Chief Osaronu serves as one of the leaders of Christ Victory Church, Onne Headquarters, where he continues to support the church through dedicated service and generous philanthropy. His deep faith guides his leadership and business philosophy, fostering fairness, compassion, and service to humanity.
Private Life
Chief (Hon.) Dr. Obarijima Jima Osaronu is married to Chief (Mrs.) Justina Jima Osaronu, a virtuous and supportive partner in life and purpose. Their marriage is blessed with children.
Despite his royal heritage and accomplishments, Chief Osaronu remains humble, approachable, and community-oriented, a true prince of Onne whose life and service continue to inspire younger generations across Eleme and beyond.
