BIRTH Born on August 23, 1948, in Alode, one of the ancient towns of Eleme, Rivers State, Archbishop Kattey was raised in a Christian household. Nwosu Alale Ngofa, a leading educationist in the area, ACADEMIC BACKGROUND Oji Ngofa earned his West Africa School Certificate (WASC) in 1985 after earning his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) in 1979. Okirika, Oyigbo, Elelenwo, Ogu, and Ogoni all share borders with the land of Eleme.   Eleme Local Government Area One of the 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Rivers State, Nigeria, Eleme LGA was created in 1996 from the former Tai-Eleme LGA. Its headquarters are located at Ogale. In 1992, the headquarters was renamed Ogale instead of Nchia. It is a part of the metropolitan area of Port Harcourt. With a population density of over 273,500, it occupies an area of 138 square kilometers (53 square miles).
